The architectural complex known as the Bishop’s Palace of Noli evolved over nearly 1000 years of history and was established to host the Bishops of Noli from 1239 to 1820. It reached heights of splendour during the 14th and 17th centuiries.
The recent establishment of a hotel offers to all who are interested the opportunity to stay in a unique, enchanting place where one can enjoy modern comforts and conveniences while at the same time discover the historical charm of another era.
The common areas along with the guests rooms were designed to provide visitors with an evocative, peaceful and romantic atmosphere perfect for weekend getaways, as well as weeklong holidays, to help relax and regenerate mind, body and spirit.
To arrive in our reception area, which along with the rest of the complex sits 35 meters directly above the sea, guests can choose to walk up the old scenic medieval trail or choose to take a modern system of panoramic elevators which provide easy access in just a few minutes.
The site on which the structure stands dominates the entire inlet of Noli, including the historical center of the old marine republic, and looks out upon the open sea, towards the eastern ligurian coast and the Apuane Alps.
The Bishop’s Residential Palace of Noli is proud to host in its 17th century main floor halls and on its seaview terraces the renowned restaurant “Il Vescovado”.
Restaurant “Il Vescovado”
The cuisine at the restaurant is inspired by both ligurian and mediterranean gastronomic traditions which are at times deliciously reinterpreted by the chef using high quality local and regional products and ingredients.
